Used the ole stick and glue method. Emc209i and I worked on this last night for his blue coupe. It's going to get dyed/repainted but we had to take care of the peeling vinyl first. I don't have any finished pics, but just figured i'd post this to give some people some motivation that had been meaning to do this for some time..

Basically we used two 99cent clamps and a nestle ice cream stick to space the clamping force. Apply some crazy glue, clamp the stick in place and then move on when it dries, really straight forward.

Enjoy.

I ran out to the car and got some completed photo's. This console is SO much better than my old one. Here they are.

When I get it dyed this weekend it will match again.

Here's the old one! Holy cow right.

I wonder if it would work with the rest of the dash where it likes to bubble out.. like around the rally cluster..

EDIT: I just noticed that the plate around your radio is black, did you paint it or something? Id like to see a picture of how that turned out as im considering painting ( or vinyl ) mine as the fake chrome looks sooooo dated.. ( and i really cant afford a aftermarket replacement dash at this point. )

Mine looked like your old one, minus the cracked plastic. It is amazing how well they go back together.
